About The Coffee Plant

We specialize in indulgent, whimsical takes on classic baked goods, all of which are 100% plant-based (and many are gluten-friendly too)!

Founded in late 2022, our bakery is based in our health-inspected home kitchen. Here, we make desserts for sale at local businesses, custom orders and celebration cakes for private customers, plus treats & drinks to sell at events. While we currently don’t have our own storefront, you can find our treats at businesses in Kingston and Belleville; find out where on our LOCATIONS page.

We also vend at events and festivals across Eastern Ontario; check our EVENTS page for upcoming vendor sales and pop-ups!

Meet the Team

Hi, I’m Chelsea and I’m a Joint Owner of The Coffee Plant!

From daily baking to custom cakes, I produce a lot of the baked goods you love! My jobs include designing cakes, developing recipes, maintaining the website & social media, managing finances, making drinks at events, & answering your email inquiries (to name a few).

When I’m not in business mode, I’m spending time with our bunny Ferguson, playing video games, or secretly actually in business mode.

I’m Adam, the other Joint Owner!

Have you ever wondered who came up with our Cookie Pizzas? Or putting a Nanaimo bar on top of a cupcake? Well, you’re looking at him! Those in the know call me The Muffin Man, but muffins only scratch the surface of what I do.

I’ve been with the business since the beginning, but joined full-time in 2026!

When I’m not businessing it up, you can find me cooking vegan feasts and developing savoury recipes, playing video games, or jamming.
